The Jazz band is the premiere jazz ensemble at Collinsville High School. Consisting of approximately 20-25 members who have achieved the highest level of proficiency on their instruments, this traditional ensemble performs at numerous public events around the community. The group performs at 2 formal concerts each year, the IHSA state organizational contest, school assemblies and functions as well as community events and the annual end of the year Jazz Night. This group is selected based on audition, which occurs each fall in October.
